1. Introduction

Department of Neurology is one of the key majors of Haidian Hospital. There are 80 beds in the department, including a common ward and a stroke unit. We have an impressive staff of a cademic physicians including 3 chief physicians, 3 associate chief physicians, 11 attending physicians, 5 residents.

2. Clinical Specialty

We have a emergency stroke team, a psychological research lab, a clinical electroneurophysiological lab and a neurorehabilitational depatment. Stroke unit consist of both acute and rehabilitation beds. It is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of medical staff, nursing staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists. The stroke team also provide thrombolysis in time window, brain angiography and stent angioplasty for carotid/intracranial artery. In addition,we have much experiences in diagnosing and treating infections of the central nervous system, epilepsy, dementia, diseases of the spinal cord, demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system, movement disorders, neurological degenerative diseases, sleep disorders and so on.
